How KAOS was born

We are Mihai and Sara, olive oil enthusiasts.

In our home, olive oil has always been a part of our daily lives.

At breakfast, on toast.

In simple dishes where the oil is enjoyed raw.

At spontaneous tastings with friends gathered around a table.

Over time, we became more deeply interested in this world and decided to study and become olive oil tasters. That’s when our understanding of olive oil changed completely.

We discovered something surprising.

In Europe, there is a centuries-old culture surrounding olive oil, but people often don’t truly appreciate what’s inside a bottle. The term “EVOO” is everywhere, and many people think that all olive oils are the same.

The reality is quite different.

After training as olive oil tasters, we realized that many oils on the market are very basic products, while there are extraordinary vintages that go almost unnoticed.

At the same time, we noticed something interesting outside of Spain:

Every year, we select extra virgin olive oil, working with carefully selected batches and limited production.
